A loan of $875 helped to purchase goods (beans, peanuts, rice, cooking oil, etc.) for selling so that she can stock up and diversify her merchandise.

Matilde's story

Matilde is married and has three children, one of whom already goes to school. She lives with her family in a house she owns and doesn't support anyone else other than her children. She owns a business selling various foodstuffs. With the current loan she intends to purchase goods (beans, peanuts, rice, cooking oil, etc.) in order to stock up and diversify her merchandise. In the future she hopes to build a grocery store for selling her products. She also hopes to build a new house in a different neighborhood and increase her monthly income. For that reason she pledges to repay the loan as scheduled so she can request more loans from Hluvuku. The challenge she faces is working twice as hard and getting new loans so that she can fulfill her projects.
