Justine lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married and has three children, all of whom attend school. She also looks after her parents.
Justine has been operating a beauty salon in rented premises for fifteen years, working seven days a week. She is also involved in farming as an additional source of income.
Justine has requested a loan of UGX 1,000,000 from MCDT-SACCO to purchase more hair products, braids, oils, and hair chemicals for resale and for use in her salon. Justine's main challenges include seasonality and an unstable power supply. Her dream is to have a big salon and make profits that can enable her to build rental houses. She joined MCDT because the need to save and the old members' hard work inspired her. Justine lives in her own house with access to electricity but no piped water. Her major monthly expense is school fees.
