Roth A., 64, is a mother of two children and is a widow. She started her own business selling various kinds of fruits at a market over ten years ago. She can typically net around $2 US each day. One of her children is a garment factory worker, making about $4 US each day. The other child is unemployed. Roth A. is requesting a loan to expand her inventory by purchasing a greater variety of fruits to meet her customer demand. With the remainder of the loan she will purchase a motorbike for her son to operate a taxi business to transport passengers from place to place.
