A loan of $300 helped a member to buy fertilizer and pesticides for her farmland.

Sabon's Group's story

Sabon, 46, lives in a rural area of the Kror Kor district of Pursat province, Cambodia. She has three children, all of whom are dependent on her and still in school. The main sources of family income are from rice farming and making palm juice. She and her husband have been in these businesses for five years. The current businesses earn her about 24,000KHR per day and allows her to save about 10,000 KHR each day after offsetting daily expenses.

Sabon’s group consists of two members who live in the same village and she is in her first microloan with VisionFund. She is now leading her group to ask for a loan. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy fertilizer and pesticides for her farmland. She hopes this loan will enable her to grow her rice healthfully and fruitfully so as to improve her living condition.
