Chanry is aged 28 years and married with two children. Her family lives in a rural area of the Kandal Steong district of Kandal province, Cambodia. Both of her children are dependent on her; one is in school while the remaining one is still too young for school. Chanry and her husband have been working as a paid garment workers for several years to support the family. Together, they are able to earn about US $6 per day and manage to save about US $3 each day after daily expenses.

Chanry has been with VisionFund for one loan cycle and completely paid back the past loan which has helped her to relieve family’s burden and improve livelihood. Now she is requesting a loan of US $700 to buy renovate her old kitchen and use a portion of it to buy household supplies. She hopes this loan will enable her to improve her standard of living and keep her child in school.
