Ana's story

Ana is 43 years old and has lived with Carlos for 20 years. They have two children, Leydi and Yamely, whom they care for in her home, located in the central Peruvian jungle. Ana does not tire easily and makes food to sell to the professors and students in her zone. One of the advantages she has is the location of her business. It’s in a strategic location (across from the school). She also prepares picarones (a typical dish) at the fair in town on Sundays. She earns 100 PEN per day. What she likes most about her work is that she can help with the household expenses.

Ana had to face many problems. One of them is the lack of capital. In time and with help from the communal bank, she was able to solve those issues. Now she needs your support so that she can acquire more supplies (groceries and perishables), which she will use to prepare her food. This will be her 11th loan through MFP. She is happy for having this kind of support. She is grateful for the work of her bank, “Los Milagros,” whose members are very responsible.

She will invest the 2,000 PEN in primary needs products, such as: rice, sugar, cooking oil, vegetables, meats, and other things with which to prepare the foods she sells.
