A loan of $1,175 helped to buy containers of oil for maintaining the vehicle.

Margarita's story

Margarita is 36, and hard-working woman. She lives with her husband José and their two children: Claudio and Mayela, whom they look after in the home that they bought eight years ago.

A little while ago, she closed her call center, where she offered telephone call service. Because of a lack of working capital, she had to close. In time, she managed to save a considerable sum of money thanks to her husband who works as a mechanic at a car company.

With this, they bought two vehicles which they rent out for taxi service. Each day they get 30 nuevos soles for this. This business helps her a great deal with household expenses, especially because not a lot of maintenance is needed, as her husband keeps the vehicles in perfect condition, changing the oil and constantly checking them. “Thanks to his good maintenance work, they can operate problem-free, providing public transportation," she says.

Now she hopes to save the necessary money to reopen her first business, where she is sure she will have a great deal of success. She belongs to the IDME communal bank, and this is her 27th loan with MFP. In all these years she has been able to improve her business, as has she used the money well and very wisely.

Moreover, she again promises to make her installment payments. In addition, she is happy to be part of her group, because the members are supportive: "Like a family", she says.

Margarita will use the money to buy containers of oil for maintaining the vehicles.
