A loan of $600 helped to purchase leather and other supplies to make shoes.

Jessica's story

Jessica is 24 years old and is a hard-working woman. She lives with her husband Ravelo. They have 2 children, Jeyson and Zahori, whom they are raising at her in-laws house. She starts working very early every day, by her husband's side, at the shoe factory, where she makes shoes of different sizes and styles which she sells at the city's wholesale market. There she gets good earnings which enable her to pay for her children's education as well as for household expenses.
She also sells beauty products from catalogs to residents of her neighborhood who always use them. She has many loyal clients as she likes to sell door-to-door. She also repairs shoes and designs fashionable and trendy shoes from home. She is hoping to make many sales so she can start her own business. She belongs to the group "las mujeres del exito" (successful women) and this is her second loan from MFP. She is grateful for the help she is offered as it allows her to get the working capital she needs to expand her business. She promises to meet her payments on time. Jessica will use the money she requests to purchase leather and other supplies to make shoes.
