A loan of $4,350 helped a member to buy inventory for her general store.

Mt Udzungwa Group's story

Shida, who is in her late 20s, is married and lives with her husband and her two children, both of whom are in school. For three years, Shida has been earning a living by running a retail shop selling a variety of products. She works from 6 am to 10 pm every day, and she is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Shida's third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to cover household expenses and purchase needed shop items. She has paid back all her loans successfully.

Shida is requesting a new loan, which she wants to use to buy more shop inventory. Her dream is to one day be able to expand her business into different areas.

Shida will share this loan with her loan group, "Mt Udzungwa," which totals 11 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.

In this group: Shida, Richard, James, Kaim, Veronica, Charles, Asha, Mkadimba, Sebastian, Hamisi, Yohana
