A loan of $2,125 helped to purchase two cows.

Jamal's story

Jamal is 51 years old, married, and is raising 5 children: 1 daughter and 4 sons. Jamal works in animal husbandry, which is the main source of income for the family. She started this business many years ago with a sum of only 12,000 Kyrgyzstan Som and the purchase of 1 cow. Thanks to her persistent hard work, her farm now includes 4 dairy cows, 15 head of smaller livestock and 1 horse, and brings in monthly earnings of 15,000 Som from the sale of milk and dairy products. For the purpose of developing her business, she has now approached Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 100,000 Som (KGS) to buy 2 cows. She will use the income generated by this loan to further increase the number of livestock she owns, and to save up money to buy a vehicle.
