Pastor Hernan's story

Mr. Pastor Hernán is 65 years old, and lives alone because his wife works as a teacher in the city of Santa Cruz; she comes to visit him when she’s on vacation and during some holidays during the year. His home is located in the Tapera neighborhood, some 45 km. from the city of Monteagudo in the Muyupampa municipality. Mr. Pastor Hernán’s work consists of growing and selling corn and peanuts, breeding cattle and pigs on rustic farmyards. He needs a loan to buy corn and peanut seeds, and agricultural chemicals to sow since it is the season to do this type of work. The corn harvest will be used for the pigs as feed. Mr. Pastor Hernán wants to improve his earnings to be able to have a good life as a mature adult by having more financial support, not depending on another person to live and to be able to cover his food, clothing and any other expenses that he may have.
