Aminda's story

Sra. Aminda is 52 years old and lives with her husband. She has a 14 year old son who depends on her. She lives in the city of San Lorenzo in the southern part of Honduras. She has had a business selling groceries for 30 years. Her customers are her friends and neighbors in the community.

Doña Aminda is a hardworking woman who is eager to help her family get ahead. She also raises pigs for sale and cows for their milk. She is requesting a loan to buy soft drinks, cosmetics, dairy products, juices, chicken, water, beans, rice, sugar, coffee, butter, bread, fritters, toilet paper and flour. With help from the loan she hopes that her business will grow and generate a profit so she can continue investing in it and in this way move forward with her family. Her dream is to continue working so that her business will expand and she will be able to make improvements on her home.
