A loan of $500 helped to buy pants, blouses, skirts, sandals, etc.

Rosa Emilia's story

Rosa, 54, is married and mother of five adult children; her occupation is merchant. She started out selling ‘cajeta’ (traditional sweet) 30 years ago and with the money she saved up gradually decided to open her own business selling shoes and clothes which she’s now owned for the last three years. Her two daughters help out. She’d like to expand the business more to increase sales.

She requests the loan to buy general merchandise like pants, blouses, skirts, sandals, etc. This loan will help her because she’ll be able to increase demand of products customers have been requesting. Her future plan is to leave the business well-established. Her short-term goal is to remodel the space to establish a larger clothing and shoe store with the profits her business generates.
