A loan of $500 helped to pay for labor and to purchase concentrated feed for his cattle.

Juan Manuel's story

Juan is 54 years old and is a native of Boaco. He is a married father of four children, ages 7, 14, 16 and 20, and is a farmer. He previously made a living solely in livestock, but now he also plants corn and beans. He started the farming with money that his father gave him, and he sells his products in the same city where he lives. His expectations are to grow his business. Juan is requesting the loan to pay for labor and to purchase concentrated feed for his cattle. This will be helpful so he can purchase more cattle and increase his animals' production, so he will be able to have more profits. His plans for the future are to save money to make improvements to his farm, and to maintain good conditions for his animals.
