A loan of $1,175 helped to buy rice, oil, potatoes and other ingredients.

Luz's story

Luz, 20, is a kind and very hardworking young woman. She's single and has no children yet. She lives in her parents' house. She and her family work a lot to have a better quality of life.

Luz's job is selling traditional regional food and grilled meat such as chicken, pork, and fish, for which she sets up her table in front of her house, where she waits on her customers kindly and cordially. She has had this business for three years and has her mother's help in preparing the soups and waiting on customers, who are mainly her neighbors and passersby.

She likes her business because it allows her to have an income to be able to pay for the household expenses and the needs of her young son, who is her motivation for continuing to make progress. On the contrary, she doesn't like when the prices of her supplies increase, reducing her profits. But even then she manages to find profitability in her sales. She plans to continue with her business and maintain it, expanding with better chairs and tables so her customers will be more comfortable.

This is her fourth loan with MFP. She's grateful for their financial support to get ahead with her business and move forward with her plans.

With the requested amount of 3000 nuevos soles [PEN] she'll buy all the ingredients she needs to make her dishes, including rice, oil, potatoes, and others.
