Las Triunfadoras Group's story

Martha is a member of the “Las Triunfadoras” (The Triumphant Ones) group. It has eight cheerful, hardworking members each with an economic activity. They all live in an important sugarcane producing region. Martha attended university and is a single mother of two children. She comments that ever since she became a mother she’s needed to find new work opportunities to offer her children a better quality of life.

Martha is very happy because since she started her business she’s moved her children ahead and she provides a service for her community. She sells products at home. She waits for customers to come by and always tries to open early. “God helps the early riser.” Besides, she says that thanks to God she’s been making progress and in time has won over more customers.

She needs this loan to buy canned goods, bread, oil, soft-drinks, juices, bleach, bath soap, laundry soap, detergent and candy to restock. Martha hopes in future that the business will prosper and she will be able to provide her children with a better education and quality of life.
