Ebennecer Group's story

Judith is one of the members of the “Ebennecer” group located in the community of El Zapote. The main source of employment is planting the fields and harvesting sugarcane. Judith is 18-years-old and only completed secondary school. She’s single. Judith relates that a year ago she started with the idea of having her own business because the economic situation is very difficult and finding a job was complicated. She’s very happy with her business because she’s able to help her mother with the household expenses. Judith sells perfumes and her customers place orders. Judith says that with the passage of time her business has been growing since every day she has more customers who sometimes even come by her house to buy more products. She will invest this loan in the purchase of catalogues and some perfume to have on display to show her customers the fragrances that are in her catalogue. Judith hopes in future that the business will produce productive profits because she wants to rent a locale to sell her products in.

The other group members are:

Nemesio - chicken sales, Graciela - food sales, Enrique -fish sales, Máximo - sugarcane loader rental.

In this group: Nemesio, Graciela , Enrique , Máximo , Judith
