A loan of $1,550 helped to buy lumber.

Juan Carlos's story

Juan’s a very cheerful person who has always tried to be very responsible with his work. He’s 34-years-old and married to Ángeles for 14 years. They have a family of four children who go to school. Juan has a carpentry shop where he manufactures home furnishings like doors, stairs, and shelving. He kiddingly says: “I can make anything from toothpicks to Noah’s ark.”

On this occasion, Juan is asking for a loan to buy lumber, plywood, boards, iron fittings, etc. Juan relates that he started his business because of need since he used to work at a carpentry shop and this is how he learned and liked it very much so decided to start his own business. He relates that he has no difficulties except that there are days when he needs a bit more money to be able to get materials. But thanks to the loan it will help him much to fill some pending orders he has. Juan’s goal is to eventually have a larger space with more tools and materials to work with the profits he earns so that he can pay for his children’s education so that they can finish professional careers.
