A loan of $600 helped purchase corn seeds and potatoes as well as bags of fertilizer.

Jhonatan's story

Jhonatan is 20 years old, a single young man. He lives in his parents' home, which is located in an agricultural annex.

Jhonatan is a young man with big dreams for living and working. He works in agriculture on his parents' land. He grows potatoes, peas, and gladiola flowers, mainly.

Along with his parents and siblings, he goes to the farmland, which is very far from where they live. "When there is a lot of work, several of us have to go. I like the countryside, but I also like to be able to study," he says excitedly.

Before, he didn't have the economic support to work independently, but he is very grateful to be part of a communal bank. "Now I will be able to work peacefully," he adds.

He needs your support to get bags of fertilizer and seeds in order to start planting potatoes and corn. This is his first loan with Kiva partner MFP.

He is grateful for the help of his communal bank, "Las Estrellitas" (The Little Stars) and the opportunity to grow.

He needs 1,500 soles to purchase corn seeds and potatoes, as well as bags of fertilizer for his farming.
