Born around November 1976 in Kati, Youssouf is married and father to one child. He lives with his family in a large traditional family in Hamdallaye, Sikasso (third administrative region of the republic of Mali).

After having managed several businesses without success, Youssouf started to buy and sell motor oils, gas and gas-oil more than 3 years ago to a clientèle made up of all sectors of society. He is much requested by his clientèle because of the quality of his products. To satisfy his clientèle which is growing more and more, he decided to join the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso about several months ago and is on his first individual loan.

Thus, with this first loan, he plans to buy 50 liters of motor oil, 100 liters of gas and 50 liters of gas-oil. He gets his supplies from the local wholesale service stations before reselling them retail, for cash and credit.

With this first loan he envisions making an average monthly profit of 95,000 FCFA which will be used to increase his working capital, contribute to the family expenses and pay the interest on his loan.

Né vers Novembre 1976 à Kati, Monsieur Youssouf est marié et père d’un enfant. Il réside avec sa famille dans une grande famille traditionnelle élargie à Hamdallaye, Sikasso ( troisième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Monsieur Youssouf après avoir mené plusieurs activités sans succès, s’est initié il y a plus de trois 3 années à l’achat vente d’huiles pour moteur, d’essences et de gas-oil avec une clientèle composée de toutes les couches sociales. Il est beaucoup sollicité de sa clientèle pour la qualité de ses produits. Pour satisfaire sa clientèle de plus en plus croissante, il décide de rejoindre l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso il y a environ quelque mois et est à son premier prêt individuel.
Ainsi, avec ce premier prêt, il compte acheter 50 litres d’huile pour moteur, 100 litres d’essence et 50 litres de gas- oil. Il s’approvisionne auprès des stations services grossistes de place avant de les revendre en détail, au comptant et à crédit.
Il envisage réaliser avec ce premier crédit un bénéfice moyen mensuel de 95 000 FCFA qui sera utilisé pour augmenter son fonds de roulement, contribuer aux dépenses familiales et payer les intérêts de son prêt.
