A loan of $1,025 helped to buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers.

Pakuza's story

Pakuza is a 44-year-old IDP woman who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with her husband and five children. She is a farmer and has raised seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last 10 years. She chose this business because it is profitable, and her fresh crops are in high demand. People use fresh vegetables everyday and consider them healthy. Many national dishes are made of vegetables, such as pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served on every table in Azerbaijan families and are also used to make fresh punch.

Pakuza sells her crop in the central bazaar. Her monthly income is 120 AZN. Her husband is a builder, but he does not have a permanent job, and he actively helps her to raise the crops.

As these products are in high demand, Pakuza wants to expand the business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover the market demand. For this purpose she applied for 800 AZN. She will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This will be her second loan, and she has a good client history.
