A loan of $525 helped to buy items like canned goods and other groceries to sell in her sari-sari store.

Amparo's story

As a married mother of ten children, Amparo works hard to support her family.

She has a sari-sari store business in the Philippines. She earns additional income from selling fruits and vegetables and from a sugarcane farming business. Amparo is borrowing PHP 21,000 through NWTF to buy items like canned goods and other grocery items to sell in her sari-sari store.

Amparo has been sustaining her business activities through her past 21 loans from NWTF and more recently, through Kiva. She hopes that her hard work will help her attain her dream to save enough to provide a secure future for her family.
