A loan of $775 helped to pay for her vehicle's legal papers.

Lucila's story

Lucila is 40 years old. She is single and has two children, aged 18 and 7. For the past two years has lived in a rented house in a district of the Selva Central.

Lucila is a hard-working and good-humoured woman. Ever since she separated from the father of her children she has earned a living offering a transport service with a motorcycle taxi. She has already paid off the vehicle and her older son is in charge of driving it. 'We earn between 40 and 50 soles a day, on a profitable day," she mentions. Now she plans to save enough money to acquire another vehicle, in order to double her earnings. She offers the service within her district and the average price that she charges is 1 sol, but for longer routes she charges from 2 to 5 soles.

This has allowed her to acquire many things, mainly her furniture. She has also been able to pay for her children's education.

Now she plans to complete the official paperwork for her motorcycle because she still does not have the legal papers. The process requires an investment and this is why she needs help. This is her second loan with MFP. She is thankful for the support of the last loan. As she did in the past, she promises to make the payments on time. She is happy with her communal bank "Rosas y Claveles/Roses and Carnations".

The money will go to pay for the legal papers for her motorcycle taxi, which she thinks will cost around 2000 soles.
