A loan of $400 helped to buy beer and soft drinks, as well as snacks and a display case.

Lady's story

Thirty-five-year-old Lady is a kind and cheerful woman. She lives in her own home with her partner, Luis, who works for a business as a tractor driver. She has three children who are 21, 14, and 4 years old for whom she works hard so she can give them a good education. Lady's work consists of selling carbonated drinks, like different flavored soft drinks, and different kinds of beers. As such, she has a refrigerator to keep her drinks cold. Alongside that, she sells snacks, such as cookies, chocolates, and candy, among other things. She carries out her work in a small space in her home. She has had her business for three years and she started this work to help her partner out with the household expenses. Today, it is very profitable because her shop is in a very convenient location for her customers. She is thinking about renting a commercial space with a good location in the future where she can sell snacks wholesale. This will be her third loan with MFP and she is very thankful to her group for giving her the opportunity to get capital to support her business. With the requested 1,000 soles, she will buy carbonated drinks, such as different kinds of beer and different flavors of soft drinks. She will also buy snacks, such as cookies, chocolates, candy, etc. and she will buy a display case so she can better exhibit her products.
