A loan of $600 helped to buy manure and fertilizer, among others.

Juan Francisco's story

Juan, 52, lives in the city of Chincha that’s noted for its warm, welcoming climate as well as for the cheerfulness of its inhabitants. Juan’s a very hardworking man above all because he’s the father of two marvelous children and together with his wife they focus all their efforts into giving their family a life with dignity.

Juan works day to day in agriculture, especially growing cotton. He’s been doing this for 15 years and spends about nine hours daily at work. He’s always watchful of his crops and this is why he believes he does well in his business, because of his dedication to it and his desire to get ahead.

Juan is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they’ve given him he’ll be able to buy manure and fertilizer, among others, to improve his crops and have a good harvest; he will continue striving towards making his greatest dream reality: to build his house out of substantial materials because it’s currently adobe and to give his children a good education.
