A loan of $1,200 helped to buy livestock.

Gloria Felicidad's story

Gloria is requesting her third loan from the Victoria del Portete communal bank. She lives in the Quinta Chica area of Cuenca. It is a beautiful place and the people who live there are friendly, kind, and very determined. They carry out their daily work to improve the economic stability of their household.

Gloria is 35 years old. She is married and with her husband has 2 children, 13 and 6 years old. Her older daughter is studying at school and her second daughter is at elementary school in the city. Her husband works as a builder in the construction industry. They do not own their house and so live in a house that a family member has lent them.

Gloria works in the countryside. She rears pigs, guinea pigs, chickens and other livestock. She also works her land, growing corn, potatoes and other produce which they use at home. She sells any leftover produce.

She will invest this new loan to purchase livestock to increase her activity in this area.

Her aim is to have a shop.
