A loan of $975 helped to buy lumber.

Graciela's story

Graciela, 20, is a very kind, good, hardworking young woman. She’s single but has a little one-year-old son. She lives with her mother and brother in their own house and they all share the struggle to get ahead.

Graciela’s work consists in buying and selling lumber. She buys chunks of wood from various sawmills located near her house and she takes them to her workshop to process into simple pieces, either slats or boards. She then places everything she makes in her warehouse and then sells them from there individually. She does all this process between the sawmills and the sales point at home.

She’s been working this way for a year and is doing very well. She’s very happy that she’s doing well because her profit margin is good since she uses up all her product. Now that she’s doing this work, she does not have to wait for the money her ex husband earns since now she too can contribute to her home’s economy. She has her ex husband’s unconditional support and they work together to provide all the best for their family which is why she’s asking for a 2,500 sol loan to buy lumber to start the process of turning it into slats and boards again.
