A loan of $2,450 helped a member to purchase shoes, cosmetics, etc.

Maranatha De Samarie Group's story

Mireille is the coordinator of her group, Maranatha de Samarie. She lives in the region of Samarie in Haiti, where electricity is rarely available and the water supply extremely limited. Mireille has been managing a business selling various products for the past seven years. She is married and has a son.

Mireille would like to use this loan to purchase various items such as shoes, cosmetics and cleaning products. Other members of the group need a loan to help with their businesses, in which they sell items such as food products, cosmetics, clothing, shoes and charcoal. Mireille says that her main challenge is to be able to sell more; since the economic crisis in Haiti, there has not been much money.

In this group: Mireille, Milouse, Saritha, Monise Augustin*, Florvilus, Rosesezard*, Philomene, Dorcine, Fito, Rosena
