A loan of $500 helped to buy quarry stone.

Silvio Jose's story

Silvio lives in the Las Banderas district of Teustepe. He's married and the father of three children, only one of whom is in his care. He makes a living buying and selling quarry stone. He does his job with a truck that a friend financed for him four years ago. He repaid the debt little by little, and now the truck belongs to him. He says that every afternoon he visits his evangelical church, thanking the Lord for all his progress thus far. With his truck he gives work to two people who help him carry and sell the quarry stone.

Silvio is requesting this loan to buy more quarry stone to store and to sell to various communities. This type of stone is used to build houses. He'll have it in stock because demand for his product increases in the Christmas season.

His next goal is to be able to pay back this loan and request another one to buy another used truck so his son can work.
