Efua's story

Efua is married and has six children. She sells banku and accra kenkey, food staples eaten with many dishes in Ghana, in Emissa Krom, near Cape Coast. She has been doing this for the past five years. Her husband is a farmer. Efua uses her income to pay for her children's school fees. Efua will use the loan to purchase maize and cassava, which is what kenkey and banku are made from. With the new profits from her expanded business, she plans to continue to support her children's education.
