Esi's story

Esi is single and has two children. She sells kenkey (fermented maize dough) in Emissa Krom, near Cape Coast. She has done this for the past seven years.

Esi uses her income to take care of herself, paying all household and other expenses. She is 70 years old.

Esi will use the loan to purchase maize for the production of kenkey. With the new profits, she plans to expand her business.
