Mumtaz's story

Mumtaz is a 47-year-old married woman. She has been successfully running a small general store in her community for the last 20 years. She offers various goods for daily use. She has good communication and marketing skills to retain her customers. She serves people in her community well and has a good relationship with her customers. Her husband also assists her in buying goods from whole-sellers.

Mumtaz is a mother of five children. She is motivated to provide a good education and food for them. As she wants to grow her business, she requested a loan of 40,000 PKR to buy stock of rice and sugar with the packs of oil. She then would be able to meet her customers’ demand time after time.

Mumtaz is in her sixth loan cycle and is satisfied with the support of Kashf Foundation. Mumtaz is thankful to Kashf for supporting her in her tough times. She wishes to utilize part of the revenue to deal with personal expenses and to increase business capital.
