A loan of $3,475 helped a member to buy wood for charcoal.

Lamentation De Geremy Group's story

Edma is the coordinator of her group, Lamentation de Geremy. She lives in the Trou-du-Nord region in Haiti, where electricity is rare and water is very limited. She has been running her charcoal-selling business for the last four years.

She would like to use this loan to invest in charcoal; she has bought wood for the charcoal. Some other members of the group need a loan for businesses such as selling food products, cosmetics, clothing, shoes, and charcoal. Edma says that her main challenge is to be able to sell more during the economic crisis in Haiti, where there isn’t a lot of money.

In this group: Edma, Lucie, Lineda, Wislande, Thermintus*, Gernide, Bleette, Nadeline, Fradel*, Pristil, Sonia, Juliana, Jaccine, Claudette, Jonel*
