A loan of $600 helped to buy insecticide, urea, and herbicide.

Italo Francisco's story

Ítalo Francisco is forty years old. He is in a civil union marriage and has five children. He lives with his children and wife in the city of Ventanas, in the los Ríos province.

The communal bank El Guasmo is located in the area known as "Cold Water of Mocache", which is part of the Mocache region. People here make a living in agriculture and in livestock.

Francisco makes a living in farming and in growing corn. He is asking for a loan in order to buy insecticide, urea, and herbicide. With the help of the loan, he will be able to buy what is necessary for his crops. He will buy the items in the Mocache area.

His dream is to be able to buy his own land. In his free time, he likes to hang out and converse with his children and wife.
