Ranohon's story

Ranohon is forty-three, married, and has raised three children. Her son is grown and works in construction in the Russian Federation, earning 10,000KGS per month. Her middle daughter is a paraplegic and receives a monthly stipend of 3,800KGS. The youngest daughter is in school. Her husband is very active in helping out on the farm. Ranohon has a middle school education and is a very industrious, honest, and responsible person. As the family's main breadwinner, she farms crops and breeds livestock. She started out twenty-five years ago with 5,000KGS and today the farm brings in nearly 8,000KGS per month selling milk and milk products.

Ranohon currently has one cow with a calf. The farm consists of .52 hectares of land and she rents a one hectare plot where they raise potatoes, corn, and cotton. In order to expand her business, Ranohon has turned to Bai Tulum for a loan of 50,000KGS so she can buy two calves. Down the line they will produce more milk and Ranohon can increase her income.
