Mohamed's story

Mohamed is a 47-year-old married man. He has six children with ages ranging from 1 year to 12 years. He describes himself as an honest man.

He operates a food stall where he sells fish and water to customers. He has been involved in this business for three years. His business is located within a busy and viable community and his primary customers are local residents.

He describes his biggest business challenge as high prices of fish.

He will use the KES 20,000 loan to buy fish to sell. His business goal is to start a new business of a grocery store within five years. He hopes that in the future, he will improve the living standard of people by supplying water to them.

This is his second loan with SMEP DTM after taking a loan of KES 20,000, which he managed to repay successfully.
