A loan of $1,000 helped to buy more stocks of rice, canned foods and drinks, milk, etc.

Hannah's story

Hannah K. is 46 years old. She is married with five children. Two have completed senior high school and the others are in junior high school.

Hannah owns and operates a grocery shop and sells items like rice, evaporated milk, canned foods and drinks, assorted cooking oil, etc. She is also an interior decorator with skill in decorating rooms and businesses.

She wants to use the loan to buy more stocks of rice, canned foods and drinks, milk, etc. to expand her business. She believes this will help her earn more income to buy additional tools for her decoration work.

She belongs to the community group called Faith Trust Group. In this group, members guarantee one another as social collateral to access loans and peer pressure to repay the loans.
