A loan of $1,450 helped to buy agricultural supplies in order to grow corn to feed her pigs and to sell.

Susana's story

Susana is 45 years old. She lives with her husband Fermín. Her home is located in the community of Cañón about 45 kilometers from the city of Monteagudo.

Her main work is in the development of raising pigs and the production of corn. The pigs are raised in rustic pigpens, and the corn is a part of the stockpile for the pig feed and the remainder is sold. She is asking for a loan in order to grow corn and it is the season for this activity, so that there is food for the livestock later.

Susana and Fermín have four daughters who are school students, and that is why they have to work and improve their earnings in order to cover the school expenses, school supplies, clothing and other expenses their daughters have so they can continue studying, to complete their studies and to depart as professionals in order to have a better life.
