A loan of $925 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Pastora's story

Pastora, 43, is married and has four children; she lives with her husband and two of the children in a village in Yoro Municipality. She’s had her own grocery store for six years where she sells basic staples like rice, beans, corn, sugar, lard, eggs, fruit, vegetables, soft-drinks, canned goods, soap, balls, batteries, pills, bread, etc. She’s an enterprising person who has supported her family by means of this business. She’d decided to request an 18,000 Lempira loan to increase stock and income. She will buy basic grains, lard, sugar, meats and dairy products. Her plan is to keep the store well-stocked to be well placed in the market longer and earn income to help her family.
