Grover's story

Grover, 54 years old, is a man who is always active. He likes feeling useful and working to maintain his family and provide them with the best living conditions. He is unmarried but has four children, who are 23, 21, 20 and 14 years old, respectively. He works hard since he wants to give them a better future.

Grover is a construction worker. When some neighbor, acquaintance or new client wants to have some construction done, like building a wall, framing a house or safely installing new cables and electrical systems, they do not hesitate to immediately call for Grover because his work is principally that of building houses and installing electricity in them. He has been doing this work for two years as an independent contractor because before that he was working for other people and that was how he learned and gained a lot of experience so that he can now branch out on his own carefully and responsibly.

He is doing very well now. He has a lot of contracts and always does the work himself with optimal results and with all the safety tools required because he does not want to cause or suffer from lamentable accidents. He regulates his income according to the work he does. He now has control over his finances. He wants to continue working and stocking tools and equipment that will enable him to do his work quickly. Consequently he is requesting S/.1,000 to purchase tools, such as a screwdriver, hammer and welding gun, which he needs to continue with his work.
