A loan of $475 helped to buy panettones, chocolate, milk and other staple goods for her convenience store.

Edith's story

Edith is 26 years old and lives with her parents and her son whom she loves dearly. She takes care of him in the house built by her parents through a lot of hard work, which is also the house that she grew up in. She started her own business two years ago, and before that she used to help her parents with agricultural work. She used her savings to start her own store which she runs from her parents’ house.

Her store is open every day, and she runs it on her own with occasional help from her parents. She has a lot of future plans for her business, and one of them is to have a bigger store which is full of merchandise.

This is her fourth loan with MFP, and she is very happy to know that she can count on financial support. She also likes being a member of the communal bank because all the members are responsible and supportive. She is grateful to the people who will lend her the money she is requesting which will be very useful in helping her business grow.

Edith will invest the money in buying more staple goods, especially panettones for the Christmas season.
