Henry's story

Elipio, who is 62, is a responsible man. He lives with his daughter Jessica in the home he built many years ago.

His wife passed away eight years ago and he has been sad ever since, but he knows he has to go on with his life for his daughter, who is the only family he has left. His livelihood is based on farming. He grows mainly wheat, fava beans, ulluco, and potatoes. He takes loving care for his crops beacuse he knows the results he will obtain depend on his effort. But since he is a country man, he also works raising animals, mainly cattle and sheep. He fattens them up in order to sell them to the butchers who come to him regularly. Thanks to his and his wife's effort, he was able to acquire a lot of farmland. He shares it with his daughter, since he has taught her this noble trade. He also works selling essential goods at a tent he sets up every Friday, which is the local market day.

This is his fourth loan with MFP, and he feels fulfilled because there he obtains the financial support that he needs in order to improve his business. Elipio will invest the money requested in purchasing animals to increase his livestock and his business, as well as essential goods to sell.
