A loan of $1,175 helped to buy candies and sweets to stock her business during this season of high sales.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda is a 36-year old woman who is dedicated to her family. She lives with Richard, her husband of 12 years. They have 3 minor children, whom they care for in the house where she has been living for 14 years.

She recently closed her grocery store that she had opened with much effort, so that she could focus on her family with body and soul, and without distraction. Meanwhile, her husband works as a builder, constructing houses and executing quality finishes, and earns good money in his position. "It all depends on the contract he has with the client," she states. The longer it takes to complete the construction, the more he earns. But as he is a responsible man, he works weekends offering public transportation with a three-wheeler van, which earns him extra money.

Since Yolanda is a hard-working woman, she recently opened a small candy stall on street in the center of the city. This is why she asked for the loan from MFP to be able to purchase cookies to stock her store in this season of increased sales.
