A loan of $600 helped to buy wood, ceramic figurines and paintings.

Eladio Manuel's story

Eladio is 36 years old. He started his business less than 2 years ago, taking into account the needs of his neighborhood for name and house number signs. He took charge of this and began to earn money. Today he has advanced with this business, since he has added alternative items for sale such as paintings on canvas and decorative ceramic items, which he sells door to door, sometimes for cash and other times on credit, working every day, 8 hours a day. His plan for the future is to achieve leadership on the national level, and for this he is working with efficiency and great responsibility. Currently, he is applying for a Kiva loan, his first financing with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. He will use it to buy wood and ceramic bisque items, in addition to paintings. With these products he will maintain an inventory for his customers and will increase his potential sales in a market that is increasing each day. This is precisely his plan for success from the investment of the Kiva loan for which he is now applying.
