A loan of $625 helped a member to buy fertilizer and grocery items.

Sas' Group's story

A villager from the Phnom Kror Vanh district of Pursat Province, Sas is 58 years old and a widowed mother of four children. She secures her daily cost of living through rice farming, fish raising and grocery selling. She has been with these businesses for 20 years and they enable her to earn up to 27,600 KHR (Cambodian riels) per day.

Sas has never been with VisionFund before; the same as her other two co-borrowers who are in the same group of three members. She and one of her fellow group members are seeking 1,000,000 KHR each, while her remaining co-member is applying for 500,000 KHR. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy fertilizer for her rice crop and to buy additional grocery items such as soap, food ingredient, canned food, etc. She hopes this purchase will help her to support her businesses on time and get her back to a good income.
