A loan of $250 helped a member to pay for labor costs.

Sopheap's Group's story

Originally from a rural village of the Kror Kor district of the Pursat province, Sopheap is a 30-year-old mother of three children. They are dependent on her and still in school. Rice farming has been their main source of income for three years. Her husband also supplements the income by making palm juice. The current business earns her family about 19,000 KHR per day, from which they can save about 10,000 KHR each day after covering daily expenses. Sopheap is just starting with VisionFund this cycle while the other member has already been with VisionFund for one cycle. Sopheap, who is the leader, will use her portion to pay for labor costs. She hopes this loan will enable her to earn more income to improve her standard of living.
