A loan of $275 helped a member to buy construction materials for her husband’s business.

Net's Group's story

Net, a 31-year-old married mother, lives in a rural area of the Ek Phnom district of Battambang province, Cambodia. She has two children, both of whom are dependent on her and still in school. To make a living, Net has been working as a paid garment worker for 12 years while her husband works as a construction worker in the local area to earn additional income for the family. The current business earns her family approximately 60,000 KHR per day. She manages to save about 15,000 KHR each day after daily expenses. Net has been with VisionFund for one cycle and completely paid back the loan while the other member is just with VisionFund this cycle. She has wisely used the past loan to better support her living conditions. Now Net is leading her group of two to seek another loan. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy construction materials for her husband’s business. She hopes to earn more income from the current business to improve her standard of living and keep her children in school.
