Eliana, who is 42 years old, is a pleasant and cheerful woman. She is married to Rubén, who is a municipal employee in the city where they live. Eliana sells groceries, such as rice, oil, flour, salt, milk, eggs, sweets and carbonated soft drinks, etc. She carries out this activity from a premises that is part of her own home. She started this business because of her children, whom she loves, in order to give them a better quality of life. She also hoped it would pay for their studies and that they would go to university. Her husband helps her with the purchases she makes from the different wholesale distributors. She buys goods wholesale to increase her earnings. She has run this business for 4 years and it is going very well. She hopes to expand her premises. She also wants to increase her profits. For this reason she is requesting the loan, which is her third from MFP. She is very happy with her group because they treat her kindly. This motivates her to continue making her payments on time. Also she finds it reassuring that there is backup capital. She will use the 1500 soles to buy and sell basic necessities, such as rice, oil, flour, salt, milk and eggs, etc. In this way she hopes that her customers will continue to buy from her and be loyal to her business.
