A loan of $1,025 helped to buy fertilizers and to pay laborers.

Alber Enrique's story

Enrique is 20 years old, married without children, and they live in the community of Miraflores, Patuca, Olancho.

He started the business of planting coffee six years ago. He started as a coffee picker and little by little he was saving in order to buy his land and be able to plant his coffee. He works with his family and his wife but when it is cutting season he has to hire employees and so his wife gets up early in the morning to make the food. He works on a daily schedule but during picking season he has no scheduled time to leave.

The loan that Enrique is seeking is needed in order to invest in the purchase of fertilizer for the coffee plantation and to pay the laborers. With the help of this loan his life will change a lot as there are few institutions that support the coffee growers.

His dream is to have a well cultivated farm and his goal is to expand his coffee plantation further. This is the first loan that Enrique has received from FAMA and he expects to make his payments on time.
