Ndinda is a resident of the Changamwe area of Coast province, Kenya. She is married and has two school-age children.
Ndinda owns a retail shop that she has been running for five years. Ndinda began the business with a loan she obtained from a friend. In this shop, she sells sugar, flour, cereals, etc. The family also receives some income from her husband’s income.
She learned about Milango from other clients and joined the institution with an aim of accessing credit to improve the operations of her business. Her main challenges are price fluctuations and high cost of stock.
Ndinda is applying for a loan of KES 83,500 to purchase sugar, flour, cereals, etc., for sale. The extra income from the loan will be added to her savings to improve on her living standards. She aspires to own a wholesale business in future and plan for her children’s education with much security.
